It's been so nice to have a 4 day vacation! Friday night I cleaned the whole house, finally could do it all in one night. She doesn't like her jumpy chair anymore, so that went downstairs. We are starting to get our living room back with packing away some of the huge toys..or as I call it, the babysitters. Hey, sometimes you just need to confine them for 5 minutes so I can something done. I know you know what I mean!
We went to Lake Minnewashta Beach in Chanhassen on Sat. with the Markwell's, Peyton liked the water much better this time, it was alot warmer than in Grand Rapids. Sunday we went to Grandma/pa's neighbor's pool and swam for a few hours. It was so nice out. Grandma offered to take Peyton overnight, so we took her up on the offer and hubby and I went on a date. We had dinner at Wildfire and then saw The Breakup. I liked it, Kirk fell asleep. We haven't stayed up until 1am for a long time. man we are old. Monday.. we did the same thing, went swimming. Had brats and burgers though, a little 3rd of July bbq. Peyton got to see her Uncle Matt.
Today, the 4th, we are going to the Taste of MN. Like the state fair early! What great weather this weekend, no complaining! Well we just got back, that was so dumb. There was a homeless kid taking a nap on the entrance steps, nice venue. I had some cookies- Sweet Martha's. Just got the small cone, not the big bucket. I know I will never finish it. Also had some Red Baron pizza and 1/2 a Gyro.
