Whew! Kirk is home! He got home Sunday after being gone since Tuesday am. He brought the girls some gifts and brought me some flowers home. Ashley had a double ear infection and my cold came back. I made the mistake of letting Peyton sleep with me Saturday night. She went to bed perfectly and woke me up at 12:30- she grabbed my and hand and whispered, "mommy!" Before I knew it, it is 4:30 AM and we are still awake. She counted to 12 in Spanish, sang the ABCs, sang Jesus Loves Me, counted to 10 in English, rubbed my back, kissed my arm, wanted to be tucked in, wanted her water...I tried putting her in her crib twice and she cried/screamed, and I didn't need TWO kids up so I tried to put her back in my bed. This went on forever. I was so annoyed and tired and run down I lost it. I bawled in my bed pleading with Peyton to frickin go to bed, I said. "gawd dammit, Peyton go to sleep!" I haven't been so tired since Ashley was a newborn. I haven't had good sleep in as long as I can remember. (I would love to check in a hotel and have 1 night of 8 hour sleep. Well, have a spa day first and then go to bed. :) ) Ashley of course woke up at 5:30 and miraculously Peyton was sleeping by then and I brought Ashee downstairs and we fell asleep until 8. Horrible night. I was so glad to see Kirk. I said I'm going to lay down until Peyton wakes up from her nap and Kirk said, good idea. He fell asleep in 5 seconds and then Ashley wakes up from her nap like 2 seconds later. Of course she did. I can't catch a break. or a nap. The joy of kids.
That night, Peyton wanted to put her juice box in the fridge and she can't understand to not squeeze the box and some came out on top through the straw and onto the floor and out of nowhere, she says, "Gawd dammit".
First swears. We were trying so hard not to laugh.
ps- check in with the Morelli Mafia- Traci's havin' that baby any hour now!
