Sophie

I can't believe the girls are BOTH smiling!
Peyton giving Sophie a kiss.

Oh, Sophie. She was throwing up so Kirk brought her to the vet. Well come to find out, she has a kidney disease! Her kidney's are really small and not formed properly. She has some stones in there as well. She's on antibiotics and basically Pepcid - the vet is thinking the fluid not processed by her kidney is backing up and causing her to vomit. All over the house.
She will need a special kidney diet this is terminal, so she will die of this, hopefully later rather than sooner. It was a very sad few days for us (this happened Tuesday) thinking we were maybe going to have to put her down soon. She went back today for some fluids and is really back to herself. The vet said she looked great and is not in any pain. We'll just need to be proactive in her treatment as far as medication and her modifed diet, but we will try our best to keep her alive and healthy as long as we can, she's a great cat and we'd miss her terribly if she were gone. Who else knocks over your water glass when you're in another room or creeps on your pillow at 4am wanting to be petted. We love you Soph-a-lee!
