Worst week ever.

Peyton came down with the stomach flu early Monday am. She stayed home and spiked some fevers, as high as as 102.8. Went to the doctor and they said it looks like a stomach virus and to get some rest and fluids. Wed. morning I woke up and Peyton was in our bed and started screaming, tensing, grabbing the nearest pillow and yelling, daddy, quit moving the bed! (she was dizzy). As she tensed and shook, it almost looked like she was seizing. It was very scary. She was burning up. Wed. morning we had Ashley's well check for her 15 month shots and we brought her back in.
They ruled out a bladder infection ( she was vomiting but no diarrhea so they were thinking that avenue, and appendicitis and we got her admitted to the hospital for dehydration. At the time, she was barely keeping any liquids down and was super weak.
She got her IV from the anesthiologist since the nurse couldn't get a vein to not collapse, the veins were weak and collapsing from dehydration as well. Peyton cried, but couldn't even produce tears. She is so miserable.
Mommy stayed overnight with her and I literally got 1 hour of sleep, from 6am to 7am. All night, Peyton would be falling asleep and then waking to these intense twitches that would make her whole body move and she's freak out and sit up and turn around and I was trying so hard to not have her tangle the IV cord and have it pull on her hand. So I was on high alert holding her as she tried to sleep to not have the twitches wake her up. It went on all night. We'd go to the bathroom and we'd bring the IV machine with us, what a pain! It was the longest night of my life. I just wanted her to get better and quit spiking the fever. She was released the next day and we were home maybe 15 minutes and bam! Fever back at 102.2. She finally fell asleep for 3 hours, the most consistent sleep she's had for almost 3 days. She went to bed and the twitches were lessening (the dr. said it was because her body was so weak and it would go away as she got stronger.).and she woke up at 5am. I gave her Tylenol -2 minutes later- barf. Great, it's starting again. I'm thinking that was because it was on an empty stomach. She was fine the rest of the day and that night, she had no twitches, went to bed at 9:15, woke up at 1:30 in the afternoon! Last night she slept 12 hours as well, catching up on her sleep was exaclty what she needed, we are just so thankful she's back to herself and to see her even smile and laugh is the greatest thing. The week was awful.
