The most wonderful Sunday!
We had the greatest day yesterday. At least I did! We woke up and it was gorgeous outside. I couldn't possibly sit in the house on this blue-skied day. Our blinds for the bonus room and living room (Happy 6th anniversary!) arrived and Kirk put those up, makes such a difference, wow! Love them. After that, we got ready and headed out to Lake Harriet. We brought some white bread for the ducks, water, sippies, and 2 donuts- kind a ritual on Sunday mornings since Church offers them. We stopped at the gas station and Peyton knows they sell donuts. A glazed for Ashley and chocolate covered for Peyton. Off we go. Ashley LOVES woofs woofs and Peyton looked for ducks the whole time. Near the pavilion there was an older, bald, shirtless, hairy chested man and out yells the 3 year old in my life, "Look at that funny boy!" sssshhhhh! good thing it was breezy and some distraction and I don't think he heard her. Note to self for next time, bring a dozen donuts! They were each as content and quiet as can be. We headed home and it's about 1pm and we were getting hungry, so we stopped and got some McDonald's and went to a park. We ate nummy burgers, greasy salty fries and thankfully I had a diet coke to wash it all down. As if the DIET part matters right now. Then, the girls got to play at the actual park, it was nice! They had a tot section, and 2 progressively bigger units so it was really age appropriate. 2 minutes after I get a "mommy, I want to go home, I have to potty". Great. and NO! I brought her behind the bushes as I have done so many times while at the Arndt's cabin, and had her pee. She laughed, Mommy! I'm peeing! She was so proud. We finished up our playing at the park and headed home. Ashley took a 3 hour nap, I ran an errand with my little lovable tag-along and came home. Enjoyed the sunshine, enjoyed the laughter, enjoyed my family.
