My big girl Ashley peed in her potty chair for the first time on Sunday June 20th, Father's Day! Yay Ashley! We went swimming at Peterson's (backyard neighbors to Hansen's)and brought her potty chair over to save time not having to run back and forth and in the house, etc. It worked! She went in the potty 3 times and Peyton even liked having a portable potty too! So yesterday, Monday the 21st, after daycare, I put her in panties. ( I call them panties, Kirk prefers undies) She went all by herself about every 20 minutes! She was so excited this morning to put on her panties and her and Peyton compared notes: "I have Elmo on". "I have Hannah Montana on".
Kirk just shook his head.
We had a great Father's Day! Went to church in the morning, went to Hansen's for brunch - egg bake, Orange Rolls, fresh fruit, yum!! and Mimosas! and then went swimming for almost 4 hours. P and A had intertubes and by the end of the day they were little fishies in the water, just loving it. Erik and his girlfriend Sara (love her!) came over and swam too. We then went to my dads and wished him a Happy Papa's Day and then went home and grilled steaks and had twice baked potatoes. It was such a great, beautiful weather, day! Happy Father's Day to the special dads in my life!
And that balance thing below- it's getting better. I had made some time to run and have my first race of the summer on Saturday, benefitting Children's Cancer Research. I think I'm going to resign from the Finance Team at church. I have more of a banking background as opposed to true financials- so I think it would be logical for me to withdraw from the Team. I forgot to mention I'm on the Money Counting Team as well, counting and logging the weekends Offerings at Church. I meet only one month a quarter on that team, so not too bad, and I enjoy that. I'm feeling better. Sometimes, Memory and Candy Land will have to wait. I did manage to finish a book I started in February though- big relief to finish it before I forgot what was happening. Jodi Picoult, she's one of my faves.
