I am the big 2-3 today! I joined everyone at Carr's to watch the Vikings lose. Jen surprised me with a yummy chocolate smickers cake- candles included, and this beautiful vase with flowers in it. Meme watched the girls- Kirk got home around noon and met me at Mike and Jodi's.
He surprised me with diamond earrings, what a great husband! I was so surprised. He said they were for the last 3 birthdays- Peyton was a newborn in 05 when I turned 30 and we were holed up in our apartment at the time, so we celebrated with no sleep and a cake from Jerry's Foods. Last year, we celebrated Peyton's birthday on my birthday- and then for this year. They were also for me being a good mom (thank you, Kirk) and because he loved me. (thank you again ..during my "baby blues" he was very supportive and HE deserves the earrings.) I love my gift!!I had a great birthday this year. Kirk even took an earlier flight home which made it even better. I missed him after being gone last week. It makes me realize how much he is appreciated and how much I depend on him, and of course how much I love him.
